Pure Art Studio is a group of artists facilities that collectively offers support to over fifty artists every week from our three sites across Stockport; Broadstone Mill, Vernon Park House and The Grey Horse. Each site offers a different artistic discipline; art, animation and ceramics. Pure Art Studio is part of Pure Innovations.
Broadstone Art Studio opened in 2012, offering a professional facility dedicated exclusively to the arts to people with a learning disability in the Stockport and South Manchester area. The studio is based in The Galleries, an established creative community of Artists and Makers found in Broadstone Mill, Reddish. As the studio is open to the public, members are able to sell their artwork through our shop. Specialisms include painting, drawing, sculpture and collage offered through collaborative projects and independent practice.
Vernon Art Studio opened in 2015. Based in Vernon Park House, a Victorian Villa in the historic Vernon Park, the studio is set in inspirational surroundings with views across the town. In 2018 Pure Art Studio grew with the addition of our ceramics studio, supported by a generous Manchester Airport Community Trust Fund grant that enabled us to purchase a kiln. Opened in 1858, Vernon Park was known as “The People’s Park” a tradition we aspire to maintain through our gallery and workshops.
Opened in April 2017, The Grey Horse, based in Heaton Norris, Stockport offers both animation and fine art. Located near Wellington Road, making it easy to access via public transport from both Stockport and Manchester.
